    Summerlin is a 25,000 acre mixed-use community located in Las Vegas, Nevada. For this project we focused on the location which backs up to the Red Rock Mountains west of Las Vegas. Our approach was to design a symbol that signifies the view of the Red Rock Mountains and reflects the active Summerlin environment.

    We applied the Summerlin identity to business papers, keeping the design consistent with the new brand.

    We applied the Summerlin identity to novelties to maintain a connection with the new brand.

  • Monumentation


    We designed the monumentation for Summerlin to carry the typography of the new brand. Here the monumentation is 90’ long, sustaining the legibility of the community name on a large scale.

    Our goal here was to design signage that worked with the environment. The color pallet was chosen from nature surrounding the community.

    The Howard Hughes Corporation uses palm trees for their entry statements on all their properties. When it came to announcing the Summerlin community, we created a stand-up palm tree as the invitation to this event.
